ITI is looking for a cable technician to actively contribute to the evolution of our company. Although ITI has been in existence for over 30 years, we continue to evolve as an IT leader in Canada. There are still many strategic initiatives to achieve our ambitious vision. What could be more exciting?

We are looking for a full time cable technician who will be responsible for the installation of structured cabling at various customer sites in the form of projects or service requests assigned to him/her. You will report to the Project Manager.

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform structured cabling installation (Cat5e, Cat6 and others), fiber optics, under the supervision of the team leader;
  • Perform cable terminations (Cat5e, Cat6 and others), fiber optics, under the supervision of the team leader;
  • Label and inventory installation devices;
  • Performing post-installation tests;

What we’re looking for

Profile

  • Experience in network cable installation is an asset;
  • DEC/DEP/AEC in electronics technology or any other relevant training is an asset;
  • Hold an ASP construction card;
  • Have a valid class 5 driver’s license;
  • Excellent skills in French and English.

  • Have a strong team spirit;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Autonomous, good management of priorities and able to manage stress;
  • Thoroughness, precision, attention to detail and observation skills;
  • Open mind to change and innovation;
  • Can work days, evenings and weekends;
  • Mobility required to carry out projects throughout Quebec.
