Join us in making IT more accessible  

ITI is looking for a legal advisor to advise and support the Executive Board and members of various departments on the legal aspects of the company’s strategic activities. You will ensure corporate compliance and the preparation of legal documentation. You will report to the Vice President of Finance & Operations and work in collaboration with various internal departments.

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:  

  • In collaboration with members of the organization, review, draft and negotiate the legal aspects of various commercial agreements;
  • Advise and assist management and members of the various departments on various legal issues;
  • Participate in the management of litigation and commercial files;
  • Actively participate in setting up various compliance programs and preparing the necessary documentation;
  • Participate in the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly with regards to the protection of the personal information;
  • Maintain a legislative oversight to advise and support stakeholders who may be impacted;
  • Draft and revise company policies;
  • Provide training to help other internal teams learn and grow;
  • Collaborate with external consultants as required;
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure optimal legal alignment with corporate priorities;
  • Participate in document management and record keeping.

What we’re looking for

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in law and be a member of the Quebec Bar;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role in business or private practice;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English. (The addition of an English-speaking employee will enable the department to continue its activities with our English-only employees based in Ontario).

  • Good management of priorities and ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions or unforeseen circumstances;
