Expert Perspectives on Innovations Announced by Manufacturers

Now that 2025 has come to a close, our experts review the latest announcements from the major manufacturer events that ITI attended over the past few months.

Cisco Partner Summit 2025

Cisco took advantage of this partner event to showcase several innovations, including two that particularly caught our attention.

AI at the Edge

As an extension of its networking and AI solutions portfolio, Cisco announced its Unified Edge platform, which will enable AI workloads to be processed at the edge—that is, as close as possible to the source of the data.

According to Cisco, 75% of enterprise data is already created and processed at the edge, meaning outside of traditional data centers. However, infrastructures are often insufficient to support AI agents, which can require up to 25 times more network traffic than a conversational bot. This innovation will be critical for businesses, especially those in the industrial, retail, and healthcare sectors, that want to leverage AI for better decision-making without making massive investments.

Secure Network Architecture for the AI Era

The way networks are architected is also evolving with AI. Networks now need to handle massive traffic, critical demands for availability, and increasing security threats. Advances such as cloud-managed fabrics and Cisco Unified Branch simplify complex network configurations, enabling users to set up sophisticated and secure networks with just a few clicks.

Thanks to rapid deployment, these innovations promise greater operational simplicity and increased profitability for businesses. In fact, we are organizing a series of webinars and technical workshops on the topic with Cisco over the coming months. Subscribe to our newsletter to attend!

M365 Con 2025

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft’s productivity tools—Copilot and the Office 365 suite—and their powerful new features took center stage. Since June 1st, Copilot has become more global and more integrated within the Microsoft suite.

Already, Copilot allows us to do ten times more than a year ago, at the same price. Companies that were hesitant to implement it last year are already falling behind, because adoption takes time. Since the price remains unchanged, the return on investment will accelerate as teams begin to take full advantage of its capabilities. A year ago, the return on investment was estimated at 12 months. Now, it’s down to 4 months, if used properly—including change management and training.

Microsoft Fabcon 2025

Microsoft took advantage of the event to announce a major update for Fabric: the introduction of mirroring, which means creating a “mirror” database to allow Fabric to be used with external databases, such as Snowflake, Oracle, or IBM, for example.

Mirroring removes barriers to accessing the power of Fabric: generating Power BI reports and using artificial intelligence and business intelligence. On one hand, it makes life easier for customers, as they don’t have to plan a technical migration. On the other hand, it also opens the doors of Fabric to companies that simply could not migrate to Fabric. For example, think of the entire education sector, which must keep its database in Snowflake for the Grid application, mandated by the government.

Dell World 2025

There was a lot of discussion about the adoption of artificial intelligence, especially on their new devices. Dell is now competing with Copilot, ChatGPT, and Gemini by offering an AI solution directly integrated into their laptops—a conversational engine based on their own language model. Its advantage is that it is built directly into Dell’s hardware, so it does not require a license.

Dell AI Factory

Dell has built an ecosystem of software solutions, partnering with the companies that developed them, to showcase use cases and offer turnkey AI solutions.

ITI is a Titanium partner of Dell, the highest level of partnership. We are currently in discussions to also become a delivery partner for the Dell AI Factory. Eventually, this status will allow us, among other things, to assess the feasibility of use cases with our clients, select tools, and implement models with our data engineers.

Cisco Live 2025

This event sets the tone for the future of IT infrastructures, highlighting three essential pillars: artificial intelligence, advanced cybersecurity, and energy sustainability.

An IA Driven Network

Cisco continues to accelerate its shift toward an AI-driven network, notably with the Cisco AI Network Assistant, which can:

·        Proactively detect network anomalies in real time
·        Automatically recommend corrective actions
·        Forecast capacity needs based on observed behaviors

This AI will incorporate 40 years of Cisco’s knowledge, which will completely transform the way we operate. Just think of the delays that occur every time we need to escalate a problem within Cisco. With access to this comprehensive, powerful, and readily available database for our Cisco CCIE Security (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Security) experts, we will be able to be much more responsive and autonomous in supporting our clients.

Advanced Cybersecurity and a Wealth of Technical Innovations

Cisco also introduced:

  • the latest developments in its SecureX platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to strengthen multi-layer protection,
  • its newest optical modules based on the evolution of “Silicon One” architectures and coherent optical networks, thereby enhancing connectivity for artificial intelligence applications and high-performance networks.
  • The WiFi7 access point—an infrastructure reinvented by AI.

These innovations embody the promise of a faster, denser, smarter, and more energy-efficient network, meeting the critical challenges of today’s AI and hyperscale deployments. The Agile Services Networking architecture, combined with 800G modules, can reduce CO₂ emissions by 324 tons over the product’s lifetime in certain scenarios, and energy consumption by up to 80% in Edge deployments. By adopting WiFi7 and the Cisco ecosystem, companies move from a “reactive” network to an intelligent business network, capable of anticipating, adapting, and securing in real time. In short, Cisco is redefining enterprise network standards by integrating AI, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
