ITI is looking for a Director of Sales – Federal Government who will be responsible for leading the federal sales team and driving strategic business development initiatives aligned with the company’s growth objectives. In this role, you will oversee team management, territory planning, and account development, while collaborating closely with pre-sales, services, marketing, and external partners. You will play a key role in shaping sales strategies, analyzing performance, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and lobbying firms. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager – Public Sector, you will contribute to the overall business plan and ensure the smooth execution of sales operations across the federal government sector. 

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:

Administration and Management  

  • Lead, train and supervise the sales team; 
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales and services teams;  
  • Carry out the selection and evaluation of their team;  
  • Establish a master plan that rallies the sales force; 
  • Communicate and transfer information to all departments;  
  • Assign and mange accounts and territories; 
  • Represent the company to new clients, at corporate events or in associations; 
  • Collaborate with lobbying firms. 

Business Development and Sales  

  • Manage sales development channels i.e., vehicles and sales activity/performance; 
  • Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual sales forecasts; 
  • Analyze sales activities, and results to drive performance through CRM and ERP systems;   
  • Collaborate with the marketing development on activities related to your sector; 
  • Maintain relationships with various suppliers and business partners. 
  • Perform any other tasks deemed necessary for the role and the smooth running of operations.

What we’re looking for

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field, or equivalent experience; 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the Federal government sector; 
  • Proven ability to formulate and implement sales strategies; 
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and competitive landscape; 
  • Excellent prospecting and negotiation skills; 
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English, essential for communication with Ontario-based clients; 
  • Functional proficiency in French, required for internal communication with French-speaking colleagues; 
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
