Extended security updates for Windows 7

Support for Windows 7 security updates ended on January 14, 2020, followed closely by those for Office 2010. To stay competitive, our clients need to be able to offer their employees the most productive and secure work environments possible.

The Microsoft 365 Business Suite, which includes Windows 10, Office 365, and the latest security features, keeps your teams’ sensitive information safe, no matter where they work. Although many businesses are well on their way to deploying Windows 10, we understand that others aren’t quite as far along the upgrading path. Many small and medium-sized businesses in particular need more time to adapt to the end of support for Windows 7. That’s why Microsoft just announced that paid extended security updates (ESU) will be available until January 2023. Previously, Windows 7 ESU was only available for Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise with a business license. The program will be sold per device, with the price set to go up each year.

Since December 1, 2019, companies of all sizes using Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Enterprise will be able to purchase ESU using Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) software. That means our clients will be able to keep working productively and securely with their partners while taking the time to switch successfully to Windows 10.
