Accounting Technician, Accounts Payable

ITI is currently looking for an Accounting Technician for a permanent, full-time position to join the accounts payable team. This position is hybrid, with a required presence at the home office (located in Laval or Québec, depending on your location) two days a week. You will report to the accounts payable manager and work in collaboration with the members of the Finance team.

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:

  • Process, verify and reconcile invoices.
  • Prepare accounts payable disbursements.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries via e-mail.
  • Reconcile pre-authorized payments with the bank.
  • Record and reconcile invoices paid with credit cards.
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and follow-up on any missing invoices.
  • Assist and support month-end closing files.
  • Assist in the implementation of procedures and internal controls.
  • Create suppliers (company name, payment method).
  • Print checks to be paid and ensure their signature (Quebec only).
  • Other related duties.

What we’re looking for

Profile

  • College diploma in accounting;
  • 4-5 years’ experience in a similar accounts payable role;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly intermediate-level Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, concatenate function);
  • Strong interest in general accounting;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French, and intermediate level in English. (The addition of an English-speaking employee will enable the department to collaborate effectively with English-speaking employees and stakeholders based in Ontario).
