ITI and Zycom to Join Forces Under the ITI Banner
Zycom’s Ontario joined ITI a year ago. Since then, our two teams have been working together to provide our clients with extensive IT expertise and value-added services across Canada. To take this collaboration one step further, Zycom will soon take on the ITI name.
ITI acquired Zycom, an Ontario-based IT infrastructure and managed services company, in February of 2022. Strengthened by this merger, ITI aims to use the shared vision, more comprehensive practices and its expanded teams to make even more of a positive impact on its clients’ technological transformation.
An already successful collaboration
Since Day 1 of the alliance, Zycom’s expertise, experts and enviable position in the Canadian market have brought great value to ITI.
By combining its strengths with Zycom’s, ITI has acquired a significant number of new major clients in 2022, including municipalities and medium and large businesses, notably in the manufacturing and transport sectors. Under the ITI banner, Zycom has increased its workforce by 20%, supporting its growth and improving its customer journey.
Over the past year, we have worked together to transfer knowledge between our teams and to expand both companies’ portfolio of solutions. With a well-honed service offer, we can now provide the same level of quality and expertise everywhere. In Quebec, Ontario and the rest of Canada, our clients are now better served with a much broader range of solutions and services, and a greater depth and breadth of expertise. The next logical step is now to operate as a single entity, and further reap the benefits of our operational synergies, passing these advantages on to our clients.
ITI customers throughout Quebec already have access to a more extensive and larger-scale range of advanced data-centre and technological-transformation services, including hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and solutions as a service. Customers in the rest of Canada benefit from more comprehensive technical resources and several new services not previously offered by Zycom, including a comprehensive offering for Microsoft Azure and M365, resource placement and a higher level of certification with certain manufacturers.
Last year, we said we were choosing Zycom because our services were complementary, and our values and vision were compatible. One year later, we can say that we were right! We have worked closely to leverage our combined strength, and I’m happy to say that not only has this worked out well, but we’ve grown exponentially because of it.

There’s been a lot of best-practice sharing between our teams in Quebec and Ontario in the last year. We’re developing new processes and standards, using our knowledge of our respective client bases to come up with new services for the market and a nation-wide offer. We continue to put our clients first—after all, that’s what ITI and Zycom are known for! Focusing on the aspects that will advance our expertise and service offer, we continue to provide the very best to our clients across Canada.
In addition to improving our customer journey during this merger, we’re focusing on the employee experience, including on pay equity, working conditions, administrative support, better access to experts, and more. We’re raising the bar and this is reflected in our employee engagement and our ability to attract new talent. We have just recruited a leader for the Ottawa market, and this will help us consolidate our presence with the federal government and increase our coverage in the capital region.
