Join us in making IT more accessible  

ITI is looking for a senior accounting technician to provide general accounting support and to assist in issuing monthly financial statements. The person will ensure account analyses and support other departments as needed. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager and work in collaboration with members of the finance team.

Your role at ITI

In collaboration with members of the finance team, you will be responsible for:   

  • Collaborate with the controllers to complete month-end processes;
  • Accurately record and maintain financial transactions;
  • Complete bank reconciliations;
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end adjusting entries;
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end working papers and provide analysis for specific business units;
  • Maintain internal controls and best accounting practices;
  • Balance sub-ledger accounts including AR and AP;
  • Prepare tax remittance forms;
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions;
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits;
  • Prepare financial reports as required;
  • Record month-end closing entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses;
  • Maintain fixed asset register. Including acquisitions, disposals and depreciation calculations;
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Profile

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a general accounting and financial statement support position;
  • College diploma in accounting or equivalent senior work experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel at advanced level;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English. (The ability to communicate in English is required to collaborate with English-speaking employees);
  • Knowledge of inter-company management is an asset.

  • Good management of priorities and ability to manage several files simultaneously;
