ITI is looking for a Senior Accounting Technician to join its Finance and Operations team.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this individual will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the organization’s financial operations. They will work closely with the various Finance and Operations teams to support period-end close activities, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and analytical professional who enjoys understanding the bigger picture, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making a meaningful impact on team efficiency.
Your role at ITI
In collaboration with members of the finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Actively participating in month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Performing intercompany reconciliations and assisting with the elimination of intercompany transactions;
- Analyzing balance sheet accounts and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial transactions;
- Reviewing accounting treatments and recommending necessary adjustments;
- Recording journal entries, ensuring data integrity, and participating in monthly and annual closing entries;
- Preparing working papers and analyses required for financial statement preparation;
- Reconciling accounts and following up on identified variances;
- Supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams by addressing accounting and operational inquiries;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and identifying opportunities to optimize workflows;
- Preparing government remittances (GST/QST);
- Participating in internal and external audits;
- Maintaining the fixed asset register, calculating depreciation, and preparing related journal entries;
- Performing any other duties that support the effective operation of the Finance team.

What we’re looking for
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting;
- Diploma (DEC) or College Certificate (AEC) in Accounting;
- Experience in a multi-entity environment and/or with intercompany transactions;
- Experience in financial analysis and account reconciliations;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, advanced formulas, and the development of analytical tools;
- Experience with an accounting ERP system (NetSuite is a strong asset);
- Good knowledge of GST and QST regulations;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (asset);
- Excellent written and spoken French, and an intermediate level of English to collaborate with English-speaking colleagues based in Ontario
