Jean-François Bordeleau

Senior Vice-President — Sales

17 years at ITI Possibilities Trust Human

Jean-François is a born salesman: with his mind set on his goals, building solid business relationships comes naturally to him. From Junior Account Director to Vice-President, he’s risen through the ranks of ITI, with the determination to surpass himself and inspire his employees to follow his lead.

How would you describe ITI to a new talent who wants to join the team?

IT offers a world of opportunities! It’s a dynamic and constantly changing field, with lots of career options. Especially at a rapidly growing company like ITI.

We’re solidifying our position in the Canadian market, we’ve got a young, energetic team, and we warmly welcome people looking to develop their careers in this industry.

What inspired you to work in the IT field?

It was a bit by chance! I earned my degree in marketing at Université Laval, and sales is a popular gateway into the working world. Without knowing much about business information technology, I joined ITI as a Junior Account Director.

I accompanied other salespeople to client meetings, and I learned a lot about technologies. Eventually, I was put on accounts that allowed me to grow professionally. I next turned to sales management and, after more than 14 years at ITI, I’m now Vice-President!

What role do humans play in technology?

Humans play a major role. Aside from the solutions offered or the asking price, people make purchases based on the human relationship with their IT partner. Clients want to work with humans, and I like to build a relationship of trust with our clientele.

What motives you to get up and work in the morning?

Although I’m less involved in day-to-day operations, I like to feel that I’m helping our clients. I want to participate in their projects and help to elevate their business.

And that also applies to the people around me. I like to lend a hand and share my knowledge and experience to help them grow and develop their expertise at ITI.
