ITI is looking for a Lead Architect – Data & Advanced Analytics to join its growing Data & AI consulting practice.  

In this hands-on role, you will contribute directly to the design, development, and optimization of modern data platforms built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies. You will work closely with clients, architects, and project teams to deliver scalable analytics, reporting, and AI solutions while providing technical leadership throughout project execution. 

You will play a key role in building robust data environments that enable organizations to unlock the full value of their data and accelerate their innovation initiatives. 

To reflect common practices and terminology used in the data and artificial intelligence field, certain terms are intentionally presented in English. 

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:   

Data Platform Architecture & Design 

  • Design and implement modern data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Snowflake; 
  • Define scalable Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures based on industry best practices; 
  • Design ingestion, transformation, and semantic modeling strategies to support analytics and AI use cases; 
  • Define data models, transformation patterns, and storage strategies that support enterprise analytics initiatives; 
  • Participate in solution design, architecture reviews, and implementation planning; 
  • Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. 

Data Engineering & Development 

  • Develop and optimize data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI; 
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable data engineering frameworks; 
  • Develop enterprise-grade solutions using SQL, Python, and PySpark; 
  • Design and optimize Spark workloads, data pipelines, and semantic models to ensure performance and scalability; 
  • Implement reusable ingestion and transformation frameworks; 
  • Contribute to enterprise reporting and analytics solutions through robust semantic models. 

Governance, DevOps & Operations 

  • Implement CI/CD best practices, deployment automation, and source code management processes; 
  • Apply best practices for security, governance, data quality, and environment monitoring; 
  • Contribute to Microsoft Purview initiatives, metadata management, data lineage, and compliance requirements; 
  • Participate in clients’ data governance and security initiatives; 
  • Design secure, scalable, maintainable, and cost-efficient solutions. 

Technical Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Provide technical leadership through mentoring, coaching, and code reviews; 
  • Support technical decision-making and resolution of complex data engineering challenges; 
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, project managers, account managers and delivery teams; 
  • Contribute to technical standards, accelerators, and best practices within the Data & AI practice; 
  • Participate in technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution planning activities.

What we’re looking for

Profil

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, advanced analytics, or modern data platforms; 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field; 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric; 
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark; 
  • Experience designing and implementing Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions; 
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT methodologies, and distributed data processing; 
  • Experience building scalable cloud-based data solutions; 
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or comparable cloud data platforms; 
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and data quality principles; 
  • Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices using Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or equivalent tools; 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in complex initiatives; 
  • Experience in consulting, client-facing projects, or technical advisory roles; 
  • Strong proficiency in French, both spoken and written. An advanced level of English is required, as approximately 30% of interactions are conducted with English-speaking clients. 

Assets 

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) certification; 
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) certification; 
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification; 
  • Experience with Real-Time Intelligence and enterprise data governance initiatives; 
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview; 
  • Experience with Azure AI Services or AI-enabled analytics solutions; 
  • Experience with Direct Lake, semantic models, or enterprise analytics environments; 
  • Experience working in consulting environments or delivering client-facing projects; 
  • Experience with hybrid, multi-cloud, or multi-platform architectures.
